General information

At Buckingham, an EAP foundation programme is a pre-university English language and culture programme (a programme which you take before your degree begins) which helps prepare you for study in any one of a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate degree-level programmes in Law, Business, Humanities, Science and Social Science. This includes a series of lectures on a variety of general and subject-related topics alongside an insight into British culture and history. It can be between 6 months and 3 months long depending on your level of English and there are entry points in January, April, July and September.

We have over twenty years experience of teaching students who come from cultures very different to our own. If you join one of our programmes, you will find that you will benefit from the opportunity to get to know the University, fellow students and lecturers before your degree starts. By the time you graduate you will have greater confidence and ability to succeed at degree-level.
