Why study Law at Buckingham? Smart. Fast. Fun.

Buckingham Law School offers its students so many great opportunities. Not only is it situated in beautiful English countryside and in an idyllically scenic town, it is also globally and vibrantly cosmopolitan, welcoming students from over 80 different countries. The Sunday Times University Guide 2010 says we have "the best staff / student ratio" allowing our students to develop with confidence through small group tutorials and close personal tutor support. Some of our students come to study at Buckingham straight from school, others have already had careers and want to develop further, or take on a new direction. Whether from school or work, students who choose to study with us are always highly committed and focused. We offer our students:

  • an intensive two-year degree with the same number of teaching weeks as a three-year programme elsewhere (we teach over the summer and our student vacations are shorter)
  • the lowest level of graduate unemployment (according to The Sunday Times University Guide 2010 - external link)
  • flexible entry points in January, July or September
  • full recognition by the Bar Standards Board, Bar Council and Law Society
  • a Personal Tutor to see you through both the easy and more difficult times
  • a consistently high level of student satisfaction - we have been ranked top of the National Student Survey for the past four years which is a living testimony to our attention to detail with regard to student care, support and teaching
  • experienced teaching staff, many of whom are Barristers, or Solicitors, holding PhD's and having published articles and books
  • Masterclasses with world class advocates which will help you to become good or even great lawyers
  • an active and vibrant Student Law Society
  • the chance to make a difference via our Amnesty International Student Society
  • affordable tuition fees that mean that Buckingham can cost the same or even a little bit less than elsewhere

Buckingham Law School, the inevitable choice.
